There is no license required if you have 12 people or less in your group. 13 or more people will require a boat license.

Do we need a license to hire a boat?
Can we take alcohol on the boat?
Alcohol can be taken in moderation. Excessive amounts of alcohol will result in termination of booking. The driver of the vessel must be under 0.05 same as road rules.
Are babies allowed?
Yes babies are allowed. Pontoon boats are the most suitable and safe boats for babies and small children.
Where can I go?
Our limit is 400 metres from the river mouth up to the entrance of Lake Cootharabah. Click here to see our map.
Are life jackets included?
All our vessels are equipped with adult life jackets. Children’s life jackets are also available at no charge.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes we are pet friendly.
Do we have to pay for fuel?
No, fuel is included on all hires.
Are there BBQ’S on the pontoon boats?
Yes, every pontoon boat has a BBQ.
Is fishing gear included?
We supply light fishing gear of handlines, bucket, tackle and knife and chopping board at no charge. Fishing rods are available for hire at $3 each. Bait and tackle is also available at our office to purchase.
Can we go around the canal homes?
Yes, Noosa Sound canals are accesable.
Can we swim off the boat?
We recommend swimming from the sand bars for your own safety.
Is there an esky on the boat?
Yes Esky’s are available on request. Ice is available at our office to purchase.
Should I book a boat or just turn up?
Yes it is advisable to book to insure you get the boat you want.
Can I hire a kayak or Sup board to take on the boat?
Yes you can as long as the boat is big enough to fit them.
