Free holiday shuttle bus

During the holiday season, Noosa provides the free bus service to reduce holiday congestion and maintain Noosa’s relaxed, coastal feel. The bus is available between December and January and reduces parking pressures as well as reduces traffic congestion by approximately 40,000 vehicle trips.

Getting around Noosa this holiday season will be a breeze. With the popular free bus service once again buzzing around favourite haunts and beaches,  reducing holiday traffic congestion.

Airports

You can choose to fly into the Sunshine Coast Airport in Maroochydore, which has direct flights from most Australian capital cities and is only thirty minutes away from Noosa.

The airport in Brisbane is the domestic an international gateway for the state of Queensland. You can choose to fly from there to Sunshine Coast airport, then proceed to Noosa.

The Peregian Markets offer an eclectic array of products on the first and third Sunday of the month.

Noosa Marina Markets every Sunday are a fun mix of art, craft, fashion, homewares and entertainment.

Noosa Farmers Markets are every Sunday at the AFL Grounds in Noosaville.

Cooroy Markets are every Thursday in the village hall.

Be early for the Pomona Markets every second and fourth Sunday.

Kin Kin village markets are the first Sunday of the month, with unique, locally made products.

Drive to the hinterland

Take a day to immerse yourself in the Noosa Hinterland experience. In the spectacular hills and valleys just a short drive from the coast is a hidden world of arts, crafts, locally produced foods and incredible natural beauty. Discover the towns of Cooroy, Pomona, Cooran, Kin Kin, Boreen Point and surrounding villages. Visit wineries, cheese makers, tea rooms or buy fresh produce at ‘honesty boxes’ at farm gates.

Hire a boat

With several boat hiring facilities along Gympie Terrace, Noosaville, you can spend your day cruising up and down the Noosa River. Some boats have on-board BBQs so bring the sausages for lunch.

There are many amazing water sports and activities you can do on the Noosa River – stand-up paddling, kayaking, jet-skiing etc. Or for something completely out of the ordinary, hire a catamaran in Laguna Bay.

Peaceful and scenic walking trails include coastal and heritage walks and hinterland hikes. The Noosa Trail Network is a series of beautiful hinterland walking, horse riding and mountain biking trails through National Park, rainforest, country lanes, farms and forest.

Discover the world’s only continuously run silent movie theatre and enjoy a movie from a bygone era in Pomona. From the historic Majestic Theatre, it’s a short stroll to the award-winning Noosa Museum, the keeping place of our region’s European and indigenous heritage.
