Deposit and Payment Terms
Generally no deposit is required to confirm a booking however O Boat Hire at its discretion may request a 25% deposit for pontoon hires to confirm a booking. We request a courtesy call for any changes of time or details for your booking immediately of any such change. Full payment is to be made prior to departure on the hire day. By making a booking as herein or paying the deposit or by providing your credit card details you agree to the conditions of booking.
Cancellations policy
You can reschedule your booking to an alternative date (subject to availability) within 24 hours of the agreed booking time at no charge. If you cancel you’re booking more than 48 hours prior to the hire date, your deposit will be refunded in full. If you cancel you’re booking within 48 hours of the hire date, your deposit or payment will not be refunded.
Cancellation of Hire by O Boat Hire: If O Boat Hire determines that the conditions for any reason are unsafe for hires on the Noosa River your hire can be cancelled and a rescheduled booking time will be provided at no charge if available.
Conditions of Hire and Bond
The hirer is required to be a minimum of 25 years of age for any boat hire. It is at the total discretion of O Boat Hire that we may accept hirers under the age 25 but not less than 18. A credit card bond will be required for all hires. All hirers must provide a photo ID and mobile phone number on the day of hire. You will be requested to complete our hire agreement which contains the conditions relating to the hire on the day. The hirer will be fully responsible for any damage caused to any vessel by undue care and will be caused to pay for all such damage in full.
Arrival Time
All hirers are required to arrive 10 mins before their confirmed booking departure time. If a hirer arrives later than the confirmed booking time then at the discretion of O Boat Hire you will be charged from the confirmed booking time agreed. If a hirer does not arrive within 30 mins of the confirmed booking time then O Boat Hire has the right to rebook the vessel and all paid monies will be forfeited.
Conditions of Hire
As the hirer of the vessel you must not have an alcohol limit higher than 0.5 and be responsible for any disorderly conduct from any crew. Bow riding and towing of vessels or persons are not permitted. No smoking is allowed on any vessel. Any hire brought back later than 5pm will incur a $100 penalty.
